A salt plate is a solid piece of Himalayan salt, harvested from the Himalayan Mountains.

When you cook with a salt plate, your food will absorb a touch of salt to enhance the taste of your food.

Salt platters are a natural product with imperfections and lines, it is important to heat up the platter slowly. Heating a salt platter too quickly can cause it to crack or otherwise break, but if cared for correctly it will last for a long time.

Himalayan Salt Platters can be used many times over. 

Hot Foods:

Place the Himalayan Salt Platter in the oven on 180 degree for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Once the Himalayan Salt Platter is hot, place your Meat, Lamb, Fish, Prawn, or Chicken, on to the Himalayan Salt platter and place it back into the oven to cook.
The Himalayan Salt Platter will season your food.
The Small amount of Salt flavour added to the food while cooking is mild.

Cooking On Top Of A Gas Burner:  

A salt block can be used on a BBQ, stove top, open flame fire or in an oven.

To cook on a salt block, it is recommended that it is heated slowly, gradually increasing the temperature, until it is hot.

Place the Himalayan salt platter on top of your gas burner on low heat for about 15 - 20 minutes until it heats up.
Once it has heated through turn up the heat and start cooking your food.
When cooking with the Himalayan salt platter very hot should sizzle your meat.

Cold Food:

Salt blocks can be chilled to very low temperatures, to cure meats, or as a presentation plate when entertaining guests.

Place the Himalayan salt platter in the refrigerator for 1 hour to chill.
The Himalayan salt platter will retain its temperature for about 2-3 hours.
When chilled you can serve:
*Cheese and Crackers *Fruits *Salads *Vegetables *Cold Chicken *Sushi
*Tuna *Assorted Cold Cuts *Desserts


Serve thinly sliced apples and mozzarella cheese on a chilled Himalayan salt platter and experience the delicate taste of the saltiness infused into the tart apples and mozzarella cheese.

Use fresh asparagus, carrots, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, broccoli. (Or any other vegetables) with a tiny amount of coconut oil, sprinkle with a little garlic powder and black peppercorn to season and experience the delicate taste of the saltiness infused into the vegetables.

Sprinkle steak with pepper, garlic, and onion powders.

Place the steak on the platter, leave for 3-5 minutes per side depending on thickness and desired, flip once and cook until done.

To Clean:

Himalayan salt plate is naturally antibacterial so there is no need to use soap, the plate can be wipe down with a sponge or brush to scrape off any cooked bits and then dried thoroughly with a clean towel.

Alternatively, plates can just be wiped with paper towel or a damp cloth after use.

Dry well before storing the plates away.

Once completely dry, store in airtight packaging such as plastic wrap, or glad wrap,

Can be store in cupboards, fridge, or freezer.


Do do not put your salt platter in the dishwasher or wash with running water at any time as it will disolve.

Edges on some of these salt blocks may contain some natural chunks and features which are only surface-deep.

These features have no impact on the usability of the product.
